Dora Gata — Tea Ceremony Iron Kettle
Crafted under the supervision of 11th-generation master Koizumi Nizaemon, this “Dora Gata” (銅鑼形) kettle is inspired by the ceremonial bronze gong that announces the start of a traditional Japanese tea gathering. Its wide, flattened base is ideal for use on IH heaters and fits perfectly atop bottle stands for formal tea settings.
Available in two exceptional materials
- Traditional Cast Iron – Durable and timeless; ideal for everyday tea brewing with excellent heat retention and a classic Nanbu finish.
- Premium Sand Iron (Satetsu) – Made from 100% refined Edo-period iron coins (Kan’ei Tsuho) using a proprietary Okamaya technique that removes impurities. Offers:
* Smoother, sweeter-tasting water
* Higher resistance to rust

* Choice of polished silver finish or black lacquered (urushi + ohaguro) coating
