A Tribute Fit for an Emperor — Yibang Ancient Tree Sheng PuEr
Once the political and trading center of the Six Ancient Tea Mountains, Yi Bang Mountain is not only steeped in history but also known as the birthplace of imperial tribute PuEr tea (Gong Cha) since the Qing Dynasty. Its most prestigious village, Mansong, was designated in 1735 (Qing Yongzheng 13th year) as the sole supplier of PuEr tea for the royal court, according to historical records like the Daoguang-era Puerh Gazetteer.
