“1966 WenGe Jujube-Aroma Tribute Brick” | Qing Yi Tang Collection
Supervised by PuErh Grandmaster Pak Shui Ching 白水清

This extraordinary raw PuErh tea brick, pressed in 2001, is a commemorative tribute to the legendary 1966 Cultural Revolution (WenGe) jujube-aroma brick. It was personally supervised by Mr. Pak Shui Ching, often referred to as the Godfather of PuErh. This is part of his Qing Yi Tang series—a collection rooted in historical reverence and masterful artistry.

“This tea was made to honour the 1966 jujube-aroma brick, which today is nearly impossible to find even at S$6,000. I missed its silky texture, sweetness and thickness—so I specially recreated it using leaves near Bingdao to pay tribute.”
Pak Shui Ching, Interview on 10 August 2016

Crafted using arbor tree leaves from near Bingdao, this 2001 brick channels the soul of the original. After over 21 years of natural aging, it has evolved beautifully—bringing out deep medicinal aroma, mature wood notes, and a silky, thick mouthfeel that builds layer after layer with each steep.
