Contributions & Achievements
Over his career, Master Fan has created more than 100 original Zisha teapot designs — each noted for precise proportion, fine hand-finishing, and rich artistic connotation. He has taught hundreds of students and founded multiple cooperatives to nurture young potters. His works have been exhibited in the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and across Hong Kong and Taiwan, widely praised for their refined style and cultural depth.

His masterpieces — including “Heavenly Treasure Pot” and “Jade Wall Pot” — have won Gold Awards at the 4th and 8th China Master Arts Expositions. The work “Monk’s Hat Pot” is preserved in the Korean National Museum. Several of his teapots are held in the collections of the British Museum, the American Ceramics Museum, and China’s Ziguang Pavilion of Zhongnanhai.

Beyond his craft, Master Fan has authored and edited key works including A Brief History of Yixing Zisha, A Brief History of Republic-Era Zisha, and The Art of Fan Wei-Qun’s Zisha Creations, and he is a recognized researcher and cultural ambassador for Yixing Zisha heritage.

Philosophy
Master Fan believes that a Zisha teapot is not merely a vessel, but a living expression of balance between earth and human spirit. Each curve, each spout, and each touch of clay embodies his vision — “to let tradition breathe through modern hands.”
