THE SHAPE
The Guava teapot is a type of horizontal teapot (Shui-Ping Hu). Named after the fruit "guava", it is slightly taller in size compared to the standard Shiu Ping teapot. Its design mimics the shape of a guava, giving it a visually lively and engaging appearance.
With its full and graceful shape, this teapot exudes elegance and simplicity, embodying the charm of Yixing clay. Its stable and well-balanced form combines softness with strength, featuring smooth and pleasing lines. The teapot body is plump, the handle slender and round, and the straight-flowing spout naturally extends.
Due to its taller shape, the centre of gravity is more evenly distributed, making it more comfortable and easy to hold.
