The pear-shaped teapot (Li Xing Hu) is one of Yixing’s most iconic forms.
Its body resembles a ripe pear—rounded, full, and perfectly balanced.
The arched lid fits seamlessly into the shoulder, creating a sense of calm symmetry.

Since the Qing dynasty, this design has been cherished for its balanced proportions and elegant simplicity.
In Fujian, tea connoisseurs say: “Without a pear-form pot, one cannot truly speak of tea.”

Among the “Three Graces of Zisha” — Li Xing (Pear-Shape), Si Ting, and Jun De — this form embodies neutrality and poise.
